As the weather turns colder, we all start dreaming of tropical holidays and soul warming food. Hamish Goonetilleke (Rum Diary Bar/ G&Tea) has seen a gap in the Fitzroy market for some good wholesome soul/street food, so he’s teamed up with the mastermind behind “Boss Man Food” & Bax Food Co (Yarravile), Roderick Grant, to bring the flavours of Jamaica, to you, for the winter months…

For three months only, the boys will be serving up a veritable feast of Caribean taste sensations from 5pm Wed-Sun. There is a range of small and large dishes available for eat in or takeaway, including the unmissable Jerk Roast Corn, Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Goat Curry. These dishes are Roderick’s take on modern Jamaican street food, with tasty authentic flavours at an affordable price..

While the pop up is on, The Rum Diary Bar will present some of their favourites behind the bar, such as house-made Ginger Beer with lashings of Goslings Rum (famous Dark’n’Stormy) on tap and a great selection of beers and rum to suit these fantastic Jamaican dishes!
